Abstract

The federal government yesterday opened the Fishing Family Assistance Center, located at the Marine Resources Trade Center on the Portland Fish Pier. The office was established to help the state's fishermen deal with the recent federal groundfish regulations, and will offer a broad range of help to fishermen in compliance issues and dealing with the economic impact of the new laws.
