Abstract

The federal government's failure to act on health-care reform puts the issue back to the states, and that shift has heightened interest in Maine in the Maine Health Care Reform Commission, a bipartisan committee charged with presenting at least three contrasting approaches for statewide health coverage to the state Legislature. The three-member panel met last week with advisory committees, and will begin holding public hearings in November. Details.
