Abstract

Maine health officials are planning a computer system to keep track of the immunizations children receive so parents can be notified if some are missed. Department of Human Services Commissioner Jane Sheehan said her office has a goal of seeing 90 percent of the state's children immunized, as compared to the current 71 percent that are immunized before the age of 2. The national average is 50 to 60 percent.
