Abstract

L.L. Bean has bought up four properties abutting either the firm's Freeport retail store or the nearby parking lot, and intends to prepare a long-range business plan later this year that will dictate whether to expand the retail store. The 126,000-square-foot store had around 3.5 million visitors last year, and more than $100 million in sales. The company already has ambitious expansion plans for its warehouse and returns facility on Desert Road. Details.
