Abstract

A plan plan to allow commuters to park in the International Marine Terminal lot and ride a shuttle bus downtown has left waterfront officials a bit baffled. They contend that during the tourist season, the lot is filled with cars of people taking taking cruises on the Scotia Prince and that during the rest of the year Hapag-Lloyd uses the lot to store cargo containers. Nonetheless, Assistant City Manager Anita Lachance maintains that Michael A. Josephson, the city's parking manager, has assured her that there are enough parking spaces.
