Abstract
"Marine Watch" piece reporting that the Italian magazine Speak Up recently featured Tom and Terri Jordan of Portland in a story about the Maine fishing industry. The magazine is designed to teach Italians the English language, and is written in English with Italian footnotes. Each issue comes with an audio tape, and the recent one featured the Jordans speaking in what is described as a New England accent.
