Abstract
Portland police chief Michael Chitwood has askedMichael Carpenter, the state attorney general, to file hate-crime lawsuits against Adam Cope and Paul Locke, the two Cheverus High School students who made racial slurs against Michael Morehead, a black student at Cheverus. Cope and Locke had avoided being named in state hate-crime lawsuits by agreeing to do community service, but Chitwood says neither of the two have upheld their end of the bargain. Details.
