Abstract

Less than 10 percent of Portland's 46,750 voters went to the polls yesterday, but those that did gave overwhelming victories to incumbent Richard W. Paulson Jr. and District 1 candidate George Campbell Jr. Paulson was elected to his second term to the at-large seat with 71 percent of the vote, while Campbell took 63 percent of the vote. Orlando E. Delogu, who had no opponents in the District 2 race, easily took that seat. Details.
