Abstract

Portland police have begun an investigation of Paula Paulette, former owner of Paula Paulette Contemporary, the Portland art gallery that closed April 9. Two artists have filed formal complaints with the police, and several others in March said that Paulette failed to pay them for paintings she sold. Police say the investigation would be turned over to the district attorney next week.
