Abstract

Morse Bros. Inc. of Windham, which grinds bark to produce landscaping mulch, failed to get a needed state waste processing permit for a recent expansion, and as a result faces an unplanned relocation. The state Department of Environmental Protection discovered irregularities with the operation while pursuing an unrelated complaint, and wants some final questions answered on the company's permit by May 16. Some neighbors are unhappy with the location of the operation, due to the noise and traffic. Details.
