Abstract
Peter W. Cox, a co-founder of the Maine Times, says he was forced out as editor of the paper last month because of major differences with W.E. Rawlings, the paper's new publisher. Maine Publishing Corp., owned by Dodge Morgan of Cape Elizabeth, owns the Maine Times, Casco Bay Weekly and PennySaver, and Cox says the consolidation of the three papers has left the future of Maine Times in doubt. Rawlings admitted financial problems exist at all three of the papers, but claimed they are all viable enterprises. Details.
