Abstract

Peter W. Evans, lawyer for Winfield Doyle Jr., said that society would be better served if his client were tried as a juvenile. District Court Judge Alexander A. MacNichol will rule later this month on whether Doyle should be tried as an adult for the November 1993 rape, beating and robbery of an 80-year-old Portland woman.
