Abstract

A public forum on Tuesday night on the planned trail below the Eastern Promenade was used by opponents of a proposed narrow-gauge railway to voice their concerns about the train, which would run side-by-side with the trail. Phineas Sprague Jr., chief proponent of the railway, said he wouldn't let the opposition deter him, and hopes to set down temporary tracks from India Street to Fish Point by early summer.
