Abstract

The Portland School Committee's Family Living and Human Sexuality Advisory Board voted 26-2 to recommend that non-school clinics be set up on school grounds to provide condoms, counseling and other health services to the city's high school students. The recommendation now goes to the school committee, and reflects a belief that allowing unlimited access to condoms by putting them in school lavatories wouldn't be accepted in the city. Details.
