Abstract

Home-Vision Video, the Brunswick-based chain with 22 stores, announced yesterday that it has rejected offers by three out-of-state companies to sell. Blockbuster Entertainment, the nation's largest video chain, was one of the companies, and has plans to expand into the state. Home-Vision Video was founded in 1982 in East Winthrop by Martin Allen, William Allen and Stephen Briggs, and in 1993 had revenues of $7.6 million, 80 percent of which came from movie rentals.
