Abstract

Homeopathy, a controversial and holistic system of medicine that uses minimal doses of natural ingredients, is championed by many alternative healers, and its scientific merits are being investigated by the National Institutes of Health. At least five licensed medical doctors in Maine have integrated homeopathy into their practices, causing some of their colleagues to take another look at a healing art that defies scientific explanation.
