Abstract
The Freeport Town Council on Wednesday decided to add a new peddler spot at Mill and Main streets for Barbara McGivaren's hot dog stand, in exchange for McGivaren dropping her Superior Court lawsuit. Superior Court Judge Carl Bradford on Wednesday said he would make the town hold a lottery for the three available peddler spots if an agreement with McGivaren could not be reached by Thursday afternoon. Four peddlers applied for the three available Main Street spots this year, resulting in the town giving McGivaren a spot in a less desirable location. Details.
