Abstract
Michael Kellett, 42, of Concord, Mass., and David Carle, 34, of Arlington, Mass., are co-founders of the environmental organization Restore: The North Woods, which is dedicated to reviving the region's natural ecosystems and putting most of the forest into public ownership. The group's first real impact in Maine came last year, when Kellett began campaigning for the reintroduction of the eastern timber wolf. Currently, Restore is taking aerial photos of the state's rivers for use in its campaign to put the Atlantic salmon on the Endangered Species List. Details.
