Abstract

G. H. Bass & Co. will hold a grand opening for its first retail store in Japan on Friday, and the store is expected to be the first of 20 stores the companies hopes to open in Japan over the next five years. The 750-square-foot store in the Shibuya section of Tokyo has been open since April, and shoppers have been flocking to the store. Bass, which sells around 10 million pairs of shoes worldwide each year, hopes to sell 100,000 pairs in Japan by the end of this year. Details.
