Abstract

"Pulse" article reporting that Geiger Bros. of Lewiston is teaming up with Shelbyville Pencil Co. in Tennessee to supply children in Guatemala with 12,500 pencils and two tons of paper. Ron Giard, vice president of manufacturing at Geiger, was in Guatemala to observe National Guard reservist activity when he observed that many farming community children are unable to attend school because they can't afford pencils.
