Abstract

Cheryl D. Silva, 34, of Portland, and Carol M. AbuMadi, 35, of Saco, yesterday were arrested by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) agents and charged with drug trafficking after more than two ounces of crack cocaine were seized. It is believed to be the largest amount of the drug ever seized in the state, and reportedly would have had a street value of $10,000. The two have been under investigation by the MDEA for several months.
