Abstract
Archaeologist James Peterson, a professor at the University of Maine at Farmington and director of the Archaeology Research Center, says an archaeological dig in Turner could be the only documented late Paleo-Indian site east of the Rockies. Artifacts found at the site include spear points and a hide scraper, some of which are made of flint rock from Vermont. Details.
