Abstract
Patrick Cyr, 20, of Saco, yesterday rescued neighbors Mark Hoglund Jr., 3, and his 20-month-old sister Brittany from their van, which was submerged in the Saco River. The children's mother, Tammy Hoglund, had loaded the two youngsters into the van when she went back inside her apartment to get another child, and police believe the boy started the van and put it into gear, after which it rolled into the river. Mark Hoglund remained hospitalized yesterday afternoon, while Brittany was treated at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford and released. Details.
