Abstract

Analysis of some of the gimmicks that candidates in the District 1 and District 2 congressional races are using to try and distinguish themselves from the large fields. State senator John Baldacci of Bangor, a 2nd District candidate, has been hosting spaghetti dinners throughout northern and central Maine, while Secretary of State G. William Diamond, a 1st District candidate, has announced that he will participate in several local road races, and has urged his rivals to do the same. Details.
