Abstract

Harry Masters, 80, of Bristol, is attending ceremonies in France commemorating the 50th anniversary of D-Day. Masters, who was wounded soon after he parachuted into France near Ste. Mere Eglise on June 6, 1944, hopes to find a French farm girl who gave him some milk and eased his pain after he had been shot in the stomach and taken prisoner by the Germans. Masters not only wants to talk to the lady, but would also like to "ask her if she would risk a little kiss and a hug."
