Abstract

Brief article about the results of local elections in Windham where voters elected Frederick D. Williams, a retired attorney, to the town council by a vote of 994, compared to 662 cast for Richard Davidson, a former councilor, and 513 cast for Melvin A. Winslow, a member of the school committee. Francis Hurgin and Lee Staples were elected to two at-large seats on the school committee by votes of 1,016 and 1,273, respectively. Jamerling Ogg, a third but unsuccessful contender for an at-large seat on the school committee, received 706 votes.
