Abstract

With 88 percent of the precincts reporting, it appears that state senator John Baldacci of Bangor has won the Democratic nomination in the Second Congressional District. He will face state representative Richard Bennett of Norway, who won the Republican nomination. Baldacci, one of eight Democratic candidates, received 27 percent of the vote. Bennett ran against three other candidates and received 30 percent the Republican primary vote. Details.
