Abstract

Northwest Airlink, the busiest commuter link between Portland and Boston and a joint operation of Precision Airlines and Northeast Express, yesterday ceased operations. The commuter route was immediately taken over by Business Express of Portsmouth, N.H., which also operates the Delta Connection out of Boston and New York. The airline, which carried an average of 239 passengers daily to Boston, also flew to Augusta and Presque Isle. Details.
