Abstract

Walter Baker of Portland has given up a two-year fight to recoup the remainder of the $64,479 he paid to Anthony Casella and Turnkey Construction for a manufactured home. Baker received $15,000 for the land, but lost $49,479 to Casella, who previously had pleaded guilty to four counts of theft related to another business venture. Casella went to jail in December 1992 on an unrelated charge of hiring someone to beat a friend of his wife. Details.
