Abstract

Brief article reporting that the Maine Public Utilities Commission yesterday granted Consumers Maine Water Co. a 24.5 percent rate increase, amounting to more than $1.28 million. The amount is significantly lower than the $2.987 million Consumers requested in September 1993. Each of Consumers' eight water divisions will be affected by the decision, with Camden and Rockport bearing $600,000 of the increase.
