Abstract

Boise Cascade Co., International Paper and Bangor Hydro-Electric are among those who have submitted studies and comments opposing the listing of the Atlantic salmon as an endangered species. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, responding to a petition filed in October by Restore: The North Woods and the Biodiversity Legal Foundation, is soliciting public comments on the listing from industries, agencies, organizations and individuals. A majority of the comments received to date oppose the designation. Details.
