Abstract

A delegation of Vietnamese officials yesterday attended a cookout at the Scarborough home of Jim and Becki Kupel, who are one of five Maine couples to have adopted a Vietnamese child through Maine Adoption Placement, an organization founded by Dawn C. Dagenhardt. The object of the visit was to set the mind of the Vietnamese delegation at ease regarding the love and care given the children by American adopting parents. The gathering also gave the new parents an opportunity to compare notes.
