Abstract

Asbestos removal began this week at Pond Cove Elementary School in Cape Elizabeth, the first step in the process of renovating the town's middle and elementary schools. The project will cost taxpayers in excess of $11 million by the time it is completed, which is expected to be sometime in 1995. The firm of Stevens, Morton, Rose & Thompson is doing the work, which includes the construction of a new cafeteria and auditorium complex. Details.
