Abstract

State Fire Marshall Dennis Lundstedt yesterday said that pre-holiday seizures of illegal fireworks and publicity about a crackdown resulted in a decrease of problems with illegal displays over the holiday weekend. Inspectors over the weekend seized enough illegal fireworks to fill two car trunks, and confiscated a bagful of fireworks in Saco after they stopped an individual from putting on an illegal display.
