Abstract

Gould Academy in Bethel is providing students and teachers with unlimited access to the Internet. The school is wired directly to the University of Maine at Farmington, which provides a link to a private company in Cambridge, Mass., that acts as a caretaker for the Internet in New England. An official with the school estimates that the Internet project cost around $225,000, with wiring accounting for half the expense. Details.
