Abstract

Justice Carl O. Bradford on Friday ordered Time Warner Cable to reopen its Westbrook business office, saying the company violated its contract with the city when it closed the office in 1992. Time Warner, formerly Public Cable, argued that its arrangement with LaVerdiere's and Shop 'n Save that allowed cable subscribers to make their monthly payments at those stores constituted compliance with the contract. The ruling states that the contract clearly requires a staffed business office. Details.
