Abstract

Three new coffee shops have opened in downtown Portland in the last three months, and at least as many are planned for the city in the near future. The trend follows a national boom in coffee establishments, and those in the coffee business say that Portland's healthy average income and large number of restaurants makes it a good place to open a shop.
