Abstract

Fleet Bank of Maine is one of a growing number of Maine businesses that is trying to attract workers with diverse backgrounds, such as women, ethnic minorities and others traditionally underrepresented in the work force. The companies are establishing new training programs for workers, and are teaming with civic organizations to help identify their biases and increase their sensitivity to the concerns of their workers.
