Abstract

The voter turnout for the June 14 primary election has been tabulated at 20.3 percent of the state's estimated voting age population. The turnout came close to projections, and surpassed the 14 percent turnout of the 1992 primaries. Turnout this year was 34.9 percent of voters enrolled as either Democrat or Republican, with the gubernatorial race drawing the most votes with 191,632 cast.
