Abstract

Martha Marie Burke, 51, of Portland, charged with manslaughter and aggravated drunken driving in connection with the August 23, 1993, traffic fatality of 15-year-old Elizabeth Condon of Yarmouth, yesterday accepted a plea bargain that calls for a maximum prison sentence of eight years. Condon and a friend were walking along Route 1 in Yarmouth when the girl was struck by a vehicle driven by Burke, who had a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent. Details.
