Abstract

Martha White of Hampden yesterday won her 13th Maine State Women's Amateur golf championship with a 2-over-par 76 at the Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono. Pennie Cummings of Auburn, White's sister, was runner-up, with a final-round 79. White won her first championship in 1858 at age 16 and her 12th two years ago at age 50. Details.
