Abstract

Portland police chief Michael J. Chitwoood has written to Joseph E. Brennan and Thomas Andrews, Democratic candidates for governor and U.S. Senator, respectively, asking that the the city be reimbursed for the $15,764 in overtime expenses incurred in providing President William J. Clinton with police protection during his recent fund-raising visit to the city.
