Craig Downes, 11, of Belfast, Northern Ireland, is spending six weeks with the Kevin J. Battle family of South Portland as part of the 10th annual Maine Irish Children's Program. Battle, a South Portland police officer who was born in Ireland, took Downes and a group of other Irish children on a tour of the South Portland Police Department to provide a different perspective on police.
