Abstract

Robert Friedman, chairman of the Corporation for Enterprise Development in Washington, D.C., yesterday told the Maine Economic Growth Council to focus on improving education, infrastructure and other growth factors. The council, formed by the state Legislature in 1993 to formulate a new economic strategy for the state, has identified six areas to focus on, including business vitality and entrepreneurship, education and training, the environment, government policy, human resources and infrastructure.
