Abstract

U.S. Commerce Secretary Ron Brown yesterday announced that Portland has been selected as the site of one of 31 new District Export Assistance Centers, pending congressional approval. The centers will be part of a national network that will provide export, marketing and finance help to businesses sell their products overseas. The network of centers is being coordinated by the Small Business Administration, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Export-Import Bank. Details.
