Abstract

The Salvation Army will hold its 109th annual camp meeting week at "The Grove," a natural, tree-shaded amphitheater in Old Orchard Beach, next week. The camp meeting ground was established by three Methodist ministers in 1873 and was open to all denominations. The Salvation Army held its first camp meeting there in 1885 and took the property over in 1952. Details.
