Abstract

The Scarborough Board of Education next month will survey more than 1,000 middle and high school students to determine the extent of drug and alcohol use. Students will be asked to respond to the American Drug and Alcohol Survey, a standardized questionnaire developed by the Rocky Mountain Behavioral Science Institute of Colorado. The survey is nearly identical to the survey used by the Cape Elizabeth school system, which showed widespread use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco among students in grades 6-12. Details.
