Abstract

Cooper, a 10-month-old Terrier mix, was found four months ago wandering the streets of South Portland, and was taken to the Avant-Garde Pet Care and Training Center in Windham to await a new home. Kathryn Sullivan, 41, of Westbrook, who already had three dogs at home, adopted Cooper. The Maine State Theatre in Brunswick later called Avant-Garde in search of a Terrier mix for their production of "Annie Warbucks," and after the kennel put them in touch with Sullivan she trained Cooper for the part.
