Abstract

District Attorney Stephanie Anderson has asked Superior Court justice Arthur G. Brennan to deny bail to George Jordan Jr., 48, until a dozen or so criminal charges against him can be resolved. Jordan, described by Portland police chief Michael Chitwood, as one of the potentially most dangerous people in Portland, has been in jail since April when he barricaded himself into his South Portland apartment and was shot after he threatening police with a loaded shotgun. For 10 months prior to that, he had stalked and threatened his wife, Clover Jordan, who now fears his release. Details.
