Abstract

District Attorney Janet Mills announced yesterday that Benjamin Sawyer, 19, of New Gloucester, and Joseph Troiano, 17, of Gorham, will be prosecuted for criminal speeding, driving to endanger, and failure to stop for a police office. The pair led police on a high speed chase in Poland that resulted in the death of Sandra Chase, 54, of Poland, who was killed when the car in which she was riding was hit by the police cruiser driven by Androscoggin County deputy sheriff Paul Henderson on April 21.
